Recruiter code of conduct
Version v1 · effective 2026-05-21
AlumniStack alumni share their profiles with us because we promise curation, not exposure. To keep that promise, every approved recruiting partner agrees to the rules below. Violations result in suspension; suspension is permanent.
1. Anonymized discovery only
You see last company, last role, last level, location, comp band, target roles, urgency, and a short blurb. You do not see names, emails, LinkedIn URLs, or resumes. Attempting to deanonymize an alumnus through cross-referencing, social engineering, or third-party data is a breach.
2. Operator-brokered intros
When you click “Request intro,” you’re asking us to broker contact. Our operator reviews the request, confirms with the alumnus, and only then forwards their details. You may not attempt to identify or contact an alumnus directly outside this process.
3. No scraping, no bulk export
The directory is for individual review, not data extraction. Automated scraping, headless browsing, or any attempt to enumerate the directory programmatically is a breach.
4. No resale, no sharing
Profiles you see on AlumniStack stay inside your account. You may not resell, share, forward, or syndicate alumni profile data — anonymized or otherwise — to third parties, including your firm’s clients.
5. Respect stated preferences
Comp band, work mode, geography, and urgency on a profile are the alumnus’s constraints, not negotiating positions. Requesting intros for clearly misaligned reqs erodes trust and counts as a soft violation; repeat offenders are suspended.
6. Account security
One account per recruiter. No shared logins, no forwarding magic-link emails to colleagues. If you want a colleague to have access, they apply separately.
7. Enforcement
We may suspend or revoke access at any time, with or without notice, for any violation above. Suspended accounts lose access immediately to all directory data and intro history.
8. Updates
We’ll bump the version above when this changes. Material changes prompt a re-acceptance prompt the next time you sign in.
