AlumniStack is a network for tech employees impacted by layoffs. We collect the minimum information needed to connect candidates with companies hiring. This page describes what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

From candidates: name, email, LinkedIn URL, role history, target role and comp range, location preferences, and any optional resume URL or short blurb you choose to share.

From employers: company name, your contact details, the roles you're hiring for, comp range, and any links or notes you choose to share.

From everyone: basic logs (IP, user agent, request timing) for abuse prevention. We do not run third-party trackers, ad pixels, or session-replay tools.

What we don't collect

No government ID, no SSN, no date of birth, no payment information. No covert location tracking. No selling of your data to third parties — ever.

How we use it

To make introductions between candidates and companies. We only share your profile with an employer after we believe there's a real match.

Approved recruiting partners

A small set of approved recruiting partners may discover alumni profiles in an anonymized form — last company, last role, level, comp band, urgency — with no name, email, or LinkedIn URL exposed. When a partner requests an intro, our operator confirms with the alumnus first and only forwards their details with the alumnus's consent. Partners agree to a code of conduct prohibiting scraping, off-platform contact, and resale of profile data.
